The school holidays are fast approaching here – three weeks and counting – and I’ve begun to think about what we can do to have fun and stop any boredom setting in.
I’ve written before about summer activities for kids that won’t break the bank and our summer holiday highlights from last year that kept us busy, but things like regular days out can start to see your wallet empty if you’re not careful.
If you’re wondering what on earth to do with your children to keep them entertained during the long summer holiday, I have something that should hopefully be right up your street.
I am giving away a family ticket to a new child-friendly, interactive and educational exhibition in London – The Power of Poison.
A family day out.
For this exhibition, children get to turn detective and solve different cases while exploring and learning all about the history of poison throughout popular literature like Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland.
One of the interactive elements is a special story book that comes to life (sounds very cool) and there’s also a special section dedicated to the South American rainforests with live reptiles and insects.
This new exhibition, which is based at the Old Truman Brewery in East London, opened last month and runs until 6 September 2015. Suitable for children from the age of 4, there are lots of elements to the exhibition that should keep them busy. We’re due to visit it in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to it immensely.
